Direct Current Uninterruptible Power Supply

The DC-PS/UPS1 serves as a wide voltage DC input PSU (10 - 36V) and battery backup power supply for most of Arcom’s single board computer. The product provides a 25W +5/+12/-12V DC power supply and gives an embedded PC the ability to detect the presence/absence of main power and supply itself from a lead acid battery in case of power failure. It allows the main processor board to continue normal operation or complete an orderly shutdown and switch off the power in a controlled manner. The DC-PS/UPS1 includes an onboard 12V lead acid battery charger.

The board can be used in two different configurations:

UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply)
IPS (Interruptible Power Supply)

The UPS board is designed for use with an external (user supplied) battery, which must be 12V nominal lead acid (PbSO4). In IPS mode, no battery is required and the board acts as a standard DC power supply.
